Today was the first time I've been outside in weeks. (I was sick). However Alot of times I wouldnt go outside because I honestly would either hate the way I look, or didnt want people to see my skin. Today, I felt a lot better so I wanted to make myself go out. My skin looked really bad, and I hate going out cause of my weight. Thats such a silly thing to say, but honestly it does get me down sometimes.
My mom asked me if I wanted to go shopping today with her. I normally say no, but something made me just.. really want to go outside. I was reaching for my shorts and then my mom grabbed my dress and asked if I wanted to wear it out. Honestly I didnt know if I did or didnt. Usually if I do go out I dont try to look good. In fact I usually just run around in shorts, short sleeve shirt, flip flops, no make up, and hair in a pony tail xD I was staring at my skin at the time.. and I knew th

It is common curtousy to not question someone you don't really know. Right?

Typical initial reaction: Oh, that person has been through something to make him that way. Try not to stare and continue about your business.
You wouldn't run up to that stranger and ask in their face, "HEY MAN. WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHAT ARE ALL THOSE MARKS ON YOUR SKIN? WHY ARE YOU MISSING A LEG? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR ARM? WHY ARE YOU SO WEIRD LOOKING?"

Samurai questionI know some of my watchers live in Japan. And also there are many people from Japan here on DA so perhaps you could help me with this.
I always heard/read that ninja were the assassins used by samurai for some dirty business that samurai would'nt attend themselves. I thought ninja were, like, a step under samurai. Wikipedia and different Russian-speaking resources agree with that.
My Russian friend who lived in Japan for 10 years told me that ninja were not respected at all and even the samurai who hired them defied them. That joining the ninja clan for samurai was a shame not only on his own, but on the all family. That shadow warrior is shinobi, non ninja.
My other Russian friend who has Japanese sensei told me that ninjitsu was an art that could be used both by samurai and non-samurai and even princes could practice it.
Please help me. Tell me about how samurai, shinobi and ninja were related?

Halloween/Fall Fanfiction contest.Hello Everyone, It's time for our first contest!

Theme: All Hallows Eve
Write a Non pairing fan fiction that takes place on or near Halloween. I say no pairings because as this is our first contest, I and the co-founders will be reading each of them. and as there are pairings each of us dislike, I want this to be comfortable. So you can imply a pairing, but keep this lemon and lime free please.
Setting can be in any time period.
Making this a horror story is encouraged. Scare our pants off! It is Halloween after all.
Any Character from the Anime/Manga/Musical can be used
One entry per person.
Length requirements: At least 1,000 words (If you are a few words shy of that don't worry about it.) It can be a one-shot, or a three-shot, but please no more chapters past three. if you do, that's fine but only the first three chapters will be looked at for the contest.

9/11I find it very strange and unsettling that not one person has brought up the topic in class this past week, let alone yesterday. In fact, there has been no mention of it at all, until I purposely went to google just to make sure that someone was remembering it: And sure enough, there's a small ribbon that says Remembering September 11th.
I want to do something for this day, but I'm in class from 8:30 until 6:20 -- it's my longest day of the week. So it may be awhile before I choose to draw something. Or, who knows, maybe I'll get our early? (Or maybe I'll be too tired.)

I wasn't expecting more than a handful of people to seriously want to buy the painting. (Or anyone at all for that matter.) But since it is getting a little complicated to keep up with who is offering what price, I will use this journal for it.
I was offered $100 a few times from people.

PAY FIRST. Once I send you a note that you are the highest bid, so you get the painting, I'll send the paypal account, and you have to send your bid amount to that account. Once I'm assured that you have paid for it, I will mail it to you.

Depending on how low or high the price is will determine if shipping costs are included or not. (It also depends where you live, shipping costs more for some places.)
